I’m a web developer who specializes in creating beautiful and fast Squarespace websites through my business, Shiny New Websites. I love the tech and creative aspects of my work, but getting to connect with people over their vision and bring it to life is really the best thing ever.

My story

When I was first learning to code, I joyfully stumbled through the process of building apps with Ruby on Rails, establishing an understanding of back-end development, although more often with a wandering eye towards the beauty of front-end.

My love for the creative side of dev work persisted and lead me to pursue more projects and classes in Visual Design, UX/UI and Front-end Development. I began taking on more clients who needed modern, responsive, static websites, first developing them from scratch, then using Wordpress, and eventually switching over primarily to Squarespace. This type of work was so fun for me that I started a business around pumping out awesome, high quality, and fast websites on Squarespace. I design and develop sites with a User-First approach, making sure the site aligns with the objectives and expectations of the user, providing a relaxing and joyful experience that will translate to the client’s business and properly reflect the experience they’d have in the real world.

I’m a people person, so becoming a web developer was probably the last thing I would have imagined I’d be doing. Turns out, that’s precisely what I love about designing and developing websites: really seeing and understanding a person or business, so I can then recreate that experience in this medium.
